Lose Abs – My SUCCESS Story

Hey everyone!

I want to share my success story with you, and tell you how I was able to lose ab flab. My name is Heather, and I have lost 70 pounds and FINALLY feel great. Like some of you, I was an overweight child. I think because of that I was also quiet, and did not have a lot of friends. It can be tough being the fat kid!

Things did not get much better as I got older. I would slim down a bit when I had a growth spurt then put it right back on. It seemed I could never lose weight permanently. Once I reached my late twenties the weight steadily increased every year. I felt terrible. I was tired all the time, I didn’t want to go out let alone try to date! I was uncomfortable with my body and no clothes seemed to fit. Forget shopping for clothes that was miserable.

I tried so many different diet and workout plans to shape my abs and the rest of my body. I’ve tried Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, some weird mint extract diet, no-sugar diet, and organic food only. At one point I gave up everything except meat and vegetables. The first problem I had to face before I could be successful was to STOP hating my body. So what if I was fat? That allowed me to let go of a lot of the pressure and anxiety that was hindering me.

Back to the beginning, I told you I lost 70 pounds….. How? I saw a video that inspired me (click here to view the video). The video outlines a program that teaches you how to eat. Yes I said HOW. The Diet Solution Program pinpoints what type of eater you are. I am a person that eats way too many carbohydrates. I would eat an entire meal and be hungry 20 minutes later. What this information teaches you is what part of your meal should be proteins, carbs or fats. Yes carbs and fat are allowed even for a carboholic like myself. I eat carbs at every meal and snack.

I will admit that I had to cut back on some of the things I love most. What the Diet Solution Program has taught me is in what quantities I needed my protein, carbs and fats. I personally have to eat a high protein diet. There are some of you that may fit the category of someone that needs more carbs and less protein. It was not easy in the beginning, I wanted to run down to McDonald’s and get a Big Mac, and to be honest at times I did just that. Sometimes I allow myself to eat whatever I want, I have to be happy. But MOST of my meals are based on the proper ratios of protein to carbs that the program has taught me. And it WORKS. I am happier and healthier than I have been in a decade.

Ab Exercises? To Do or Not To Do……..

 

The big question: Can I lose abs and unwanted fat without doing any exercise?

To a point, yes. To lose weight you must take in less calories than you are putting out. Period. No matter what the fad diets tell you, that is how it works. If you find a diet plan (to see a great diet plan check out this site) that works well for you, then you will lose ab fat, slim down your thighs, and your overall body. So why exercise? I know I like sitting on the couch more than most of you!

Exercise is beneficial for so many reasons. First, it will speed up any weight loss goals you have. Remember, the goal is to burn more calories than you intake. Exercise burns calories, and muscle burns more calories than fat. If you focus your exercise on your ab area, you will tone up that part of your body quicker than the rest (when combined with healthy eating habits).

Beyond speeding up the trip to weight loss success, exercise hold many other benefits. You will be more HEALTHY. Exercise is great for your heart, and lets be honest we have to do something to counteract all the unhealthy, greasy food constantly available (no one loves McDonald’s as much as me, no joke)…..

Can’t Lose? Abs and Body Fat Got You Down?

Seriously, it sounds silly but it works. I felt fat and unsexy. I was especially concerned with losing belly fat. Of course I also had to lose hips, lose thigh fat, and lose flab in general. But mainly I wanted to be slim in the middle, I mean who DOESN’T! I have tried so many diets in the past and I had to accept the fact that to lose ab fat, I had to make a lifestyle change. At least if I wanted to lose weight in my abs and keep it off that is.
I found a way to do this that FINALLY worked for me, after years of trying and I wanted to share what I found with all of you and provide a site with any helpful information I could. I hope it inspires someone to be successful as I was.
